Jomolhari Mountain Festival

Jangothang, Soe

A community-based initiative for the conservation of snow leopards in Bhutan” Jomolhari Mountain Festival is an exquisitely themed two-day event celebrated at the base of Mt. Jomolhari, by communities located along one of the most scenic trekking routes in Bhutan.

The celebration honors the coexistence of the cultures of the towns and the natural beauties that surround them, including the rare yet beautiful snow leopard.

These threatened species thrive there; several camera trap images and undeniable evidence have made the area one of Bhutan’s greatest snow leopard habitats.
