Attractions in Tsirang

Attractions in Tsirang include the small town of, Damphu is the governmental headquarters and central of Tsirang District. We can discover it on the north-south highway running from Wangdue Phodrang to Sarpang and Gelephu in the neighborhood of India. It is also where the Tsirang Dzong is located.

The passage from Wangdue Phodrang to Tsirang is scenic; one will see one of the largest 1200MW Punatsangchu I hydropower projects in the country being constructed. The Puna Tsang Chhu, the tributary that flows from Punakha, powers the project. 

Located almost 30km away from Damphu town, the site has a ruin of a dzong, which according to locals is more than 200 years old

The park is surrounded by varieties of flowers & plants and has two huge concrete gazebos, – fountain, a Mani Dungkor An artificial Lake

Although Tsirang has magnificent Dzong, Tsirang Namgyel Chholing Rabdey Dratsang is the avenue for rituals

Since the Hindu Buddhist practice and culture coexist in the Tsirang region, in the center of Damphu municipality there is a Buddhist Hindu temple
