Tsirang Namgyel Chholing Dratsang

Although Tsirang has magnificent Dzong, Tsirang Namgyel Chholing Dratsang is the avenue for rituals and the annual Tsirang Tsechu. The annual Tshechu is the biggest festival in the southern town of Tsirang.

The festival attracts people from all over the region. Several distinctive kinds of mask dances are performed. Traditional dances, music, and color to the festive mood. The Thongdrol (large tapestry) of Guru Rimpoche is unfurled on the final day of the Tshechu.  Tsirang Tsechu takes place towards the end of March annually.
