Ugyen Tshewang, with experience of a decade working as a tour guide at his fullest dedication, Ugyen served various reputable tour operators and companies, maintaining a steady flow of contended visitors. Ugyen comes from the historic valley of Lhuntse, graduated 12th grade, and paved his way of life through Tourism.

Lhuntse Valley is one of the most picturesque valleys in Bhutan. It is in eastern Bhutan, bordering Tibet to the north, with a long border of mountaintops stretching along its western edge. The Kurichu River flows through the valley with hundreds of waterfalls, creating an exquisite landscape and several villages that are visited by tourists on day treks.

 With hundreds of tours he operated, hundreds of visitors acknowledged the charm of his dedication to work and knowledge of his country. Currently serving as a Free-Lance guide and a member of Truly Bhutan Ugyen serves as one of the rarest assets of Truly Bhutan in especially operating cultural tours, walks, bird watching tours, and other low-volume trips.

As a Bhutanese, Ugyen has always taken pride in being a country person. He is one of the rare few that have served as a tourist guide for years without ever moving abroad to pursue a career as an international guide. Ugyen was happy that his work in tourism has given him the chance to serve his community and country, Bhutan.
