The event takes place in Wangduephodrang and lasts three days throughout the fall season.

The tshechu is famous for the Raksha Mangcham, also known as the Ox Dance. During the event, a variety of mask dances are performed.

It closes with the Guru Tshengye Thongdrel being unfurled (large tapestry).
