Why Travel Bhutan With Truly Bhutan

BBS Tower Loop

  • Trail Name: BBS Tower Loop
  • Distance: 4 km
  • Difficulty: Intermediate-to-Advanced

BBS Tower Loop Begin this off-road loop with a short but steep climb to the base of the BBS Television broadcasting tower. Wander up sharply through and around thousands of prayer flags, working your way up to the tree-covered single track. The next section is smooth and offers plenty of opportunity for speed.

Be careful of off-camber or blind turns. There is a technical steep “chute” descent that leads you to Wangditse Monastery. Stop for a photo overlooking Thimphu, then head out on a more rolling single track to finish at Sangaygang Temple to complete the loop.
