Bhutan is rated a Role Model as it has communicated its goal of remaining carbon neutral in the future Thus promoting itself as a high-end tourist destination.

Although Bhutan is a small country, it has extremely varied climates and seasons (four seasons- Spring, autumn, winter & summer) with altitudes ranging from 97 m to 7570 m. It has thus rich and diverse flora and fauna. With a pristine environment, more than 72% of the Bhutanese Landscape is under forest cover, because of which Bhutan was considered to be one of the Top 10 Global Hot Spots. The Bhutanese traditional reverence for nature has protected its environment and rich cultural heritage – still richly intact. Rich flora and fauna are yet to be explored.
