Located in Southern Bhutan, Dzongkhag covers an area of 1,582 sq. km and varies from 600-3,800 m in elevation. The major crops cultivated in the district are oranges, cardamom, ginger, and areca nuts. They export these cash crops to the nearby Indian state of West Bengal and indeed to Bangladesh.
